A COLLECTION OF SOME OF OUR HAND CRAFTED PICTURE FRAMES:

We are dedicated to the preservation of life's precious memories. Our frames, like our boxes, are hand crafted from solid wood that we mill ourselves. We create our own profiles on tools that we operate by hand. Most frame shops purchase lengths of frame stock that is manufactured elsewhere from composite materials, coated with formed veneer and then cut to size. We manufacture our own frames, hand cut our own mats, do our own mounting, practice preservation framing and do it at a fraction of the cost that most frame shops charge.

OAK FRAME

ARLINGTON STREET

This 3" solid oak frame was hand crafted for the reception area of a lawfirm in Downtown Boston. The print "Arlington Street" is the work of Boston Impressionist John C. Terelak.

"The Bride" - by a Cape Cod artist. The frame is a solid oak "floater" frame where the artwork is suspended inside the frame and 'floats' 2 inches out from the wall. A mixture of red oak and red mahogany stain was used to enhance the red highlights in the artwork. Hand cut wooden pegs were inserted to reinforce the mitered corners. The the work was framed for our customer to give as a wedding gift. Another precious memory successfully preserved!

GILDED GOLD LEAF FRAME

INVITATION TO PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION

Our customer was invited to the 2009 Presidential Inauguration and asked us to frame the invitation. The frame is hand crafted from solid wood with wooden pegs glued into the mitered corners for reinforcement. The frame was then coated with hand applied gilded gold leaf. Matting and mounting by Old Colony Woodworks. Another precious memory successfully preserved.

SCARBOROUGH, MAINE

A historical recap of the Town of Scarborough, Maine one of the oldest incorporated towns in America, illustrated by a local artist. The recap makes note of "The King's Broad Arrow" and the marking of trees with three "axe strikes" during colonial times. The frame is made from "The King's Broad Arrow" Eastern White Pine and bears the axe strikes on the top left portion of the frame. And autographed print of The Bill of Rights, from the Library of Congress. Hand crafted solid birch frame with English Chestnut finish. Old Colony Woodworks created the frame and mounted the artwork for a customer in Washington, DC

OCEAN SCENE BY TED KENNEDY

Lithograph of a painting by the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy autographed by him for our customer. Frame was hand crafted from solid birch with English Chestnut finish, matted and mounted by Old Colony Woodworks for our customer.

We preserved this print of a golf course in Scotland for an avid golfer who carded his first 'hole-in-one" on this course, another "prescious memory" successfully preserved..

Representing "Peace and Harmony", this hand embroidered silk is from Vietnam. Our customer and her family immigrated here and wanted to preserve a piece of their heritage. Another precious memory successfully preserved!

3" birch frame with blue mat. Print is a reproduction of original art work - the Sugarloaf Hotel and Mountain in Carrabasset Valley, Maine.

EASTERN WHITE PINE

PUTTERBOY

This 3 1/2 inch frame with vein was hand crafted from "The King's Broad Arrow" Eastern White Pine, the wood that started the American Revolution. The print "A Moment In Time" features "Putterboy", the logo of a famous golf resort, memorializing a statue of professional golfer Payne Stewart.
